massive electro house patch

1xSAW 3oct + 1xSAW 1oct (phase diff 40)
freq 115 on LP filter
LFO 3/8 working on freq
sidechained with kick
eq bass +
a little rev

Back to the matter at hand, any VA/Subtractive Synth will do for that huge electro-house bass/lead sound, the skill is in the modulation and automation (opening the filter envelope’s decay is a favourite, and its almost like doing a filter sweep from trance or a reece playing that high note from drum n bass, its a cliche, but a very effective one that helps build tension). Always use at least two oscillators but at different octaves, and sidechaining and a little reverb or delay is also a must, so you’ve really hit the nail with that patch you described. but once you define a formula for a genre it kind of gets boring, so shake shit up every now and then, throw in something that the audience (becasue thats who you should be making any dance track for after all) won’t ecpect, but will make them go spastic when they hear/feel it. Oh, and a good chord progression will help your track stand out, the right notes can even give your track more emotional weight.
